Growing up I had a cat named Chester too. He was a ginger kitty and he was the sweetest and most gentle cat I have ever known. He never had terrority issues and seemed to love any other pet we had in the house. Sadly he had health issues and got really sick :( putting him down was heartbreaking.
I love orange cats. I had a cat named Pitney for years (we were stuck for a name and there was a cardboard delivery box for the office company Pitney Bowes sitting there). He looked like a Pitney, with his little face. He died at 13 from kidney disease and it was devastating. Orange cats always seem so even tempered. There was an orange cat at work that hung around the library, so I used to visit her and bring her toys like mice all the time. The librarian probably wondered where the heck all these cat toys kept coming from.
Jean Anouilh said "There will always be a lost dog somewhere that will prevent me from being happy." That about sums it up. I lack the turn-off switch.
