The photo below is a remnant of a bread slice. It looks as though it is partially eaten or sliced into two...as though somebody had enjoyed the other half and then put it away to eat the rest later. Of course, that never happened.

No, this is not a bowl of old rocks. This is a bowl of fruit, found at Pompeii. This would have been what was on somebody's table when the volcano blew.
