I checked the online paper I often read the other day. The story about Syria wasn't there. It should have been in the headlines. Iraq was falling to Isis too; a nation that not too long ago had been fairly liberal was now dragging women back into the dark ages. They had once attended universities and become doctors but were now lined up in a black chain of chattel for sale. The picture sickened me, as it should have done for anybody who saw it. So, what stories were deemed of importance? There were three---THREE---stories about the Kardasian sisters---one on top of the other. They and their ilk are are actually the reason I cancelled my cable so many years ago, but I digress.

I got told the other day that the reason I wasn't sleeping was that I was depressed. I ask what's wrong with people who aren't?
I think it's more that people don't want to know, people don't want to admit to themselves that ISIS is winning and are poised to take over more countries. I'm not one for war or violence, but my biggest disappointment with Obama was that he didn't help the Syrian rebels when they needed it a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI also have a rage in my heart that will never go away against GWB and the fake war he was allowed to start that started this mess. I still think he needs to be held accountable and put on trial for crimes against humanity.
